About twenty works of larger formats in oil on canvas technique were exhibited

RIJEKA - The exhibition "Swim Together" by German artist Daniel Richter and Dubrovnik-based artist Izvor Pende opened last night at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka. As the MSU's Vilma Bartolic reminded, the exhibition was designed to be presented in three different museums: initially at the Art Gallery in Split, curated by Branko Franceschi, then at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and finally at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. in Rijeka. Each edition of the exhibition is accompanied by a different visual experience arising from the space tasks of the exhibition space, as well as the different correlation of the presented works. About twenty large-format works, made in the technique of oil on canvas, are exhibited.

- Now the exhibition has nicely "sat" in the new space of MMSU, said Bartolic. It brings together two different worlds of painting, which show the project "Swim Together" how they communicate with each other. Seven imposing paintings by Daniel Richter are part of the author's latest cycle, which represents a powerful turn in his work to date. He was preceded by years of engaging in figurative painting, and since 2015 Richter's painting has become more refined and the elements reduced.
