Two exhibitions open Friday, May 13, at David Richard: Plugged In and The Narrative Figure. Plugged In is a show of post-1960s abstraction and includes work by longstanding gallery artists Christian Haub, Matthew Kluber, and Matthew Penkala, as well as new media artists C. Alex Clark, Anne Farrell, Noah Klersfeld, and Chase Stafford. The Narrative Figure explores figurative imagery in a variety of styles and mediums, including abstraction and realism in two- and three-dimensional works. The show features the art of Esteban Cabeza de Baca, Michael Dixon, Jeffrey Hargrave, Daisy Quezada, and Justice Whitaker. The reception for both exhibits is at 5 p.m.
