David Richard Gallery is pleased to present Summertime, a group exhibition that includes 9 artists and 29 artworks. The motivation was a selection of paintings on a variety of supports that did not particularly picture or represent the summer season nor summer-related activities per se. Instead, while viewing the range of paintings, the colors, compositions, and sometimes the titles evoked a feeling of summer and/or memories. The memories included prior summer vacations, days in the mountains or at a beach, or viewing landscapes or lush, colorful gardens, even looking out at the New York cityscape and feeling the rising and setting sun and the heat radiating off the window glass and masonry buildings.
