DESIGN INVITATIONAL

David Richard Gallery, will host an invitational design exhibition, Life Support: Art <-> Design Sustenance, in the premier contemporary gallery in the Santa Fe Railyard Arts District from Nov 1 - 29, 2013 in conjunction with Design Santa Fe.

Design Santa Fe, sponsored by the American Society of Interior Designers (A.S.I.D), New Mexico Chapter is holding several events during its annual Design Week, from Oct. 31 - Nov 2, 2013. Those events include:

1.) The Design Crawl, where design businesses around Santa Fe open their doors, welcoming the public to browse an array of products and meet guest artists and artisans

2.) DesignLAB; Next Nest, a Southwestern states, juried competition to be held at Site Santa Fe

3.) Life Support: Art <-> Design Sustenance, an international invitational design exhibition at David Richard Gallery

4.) Dialogue; Making Things in a Digital Age, an explorative discussion on craft and technology with a notable panel moderated by Susan Szenasy, Editor-in-Chief of Metropolis Magazine. The three panelists are: Billie Tsien, partner of TWBT associates, Jason Pilarski and Stephen Joyner of Machine Histories and Matilda McQuaid, Textile Director/Deputy Curatorial Director for the Cooper Hewitt Museum. Following the Dialogue, each participant will lead their own workshop.
